This FREE Facebook community is a place to come together to share insights, tips, questions, answers and most importantly support for one another. It can be tough sometimes, so this is the place to cheer each other on, and help each other out.
I’m keen to build a supportive environment which is why these rules are so important.
For the benefit of everyone, I do stick to them.
By being a part of this community you are agreeing to these rules listed below.
1. NO SELF PROMO
No self-promotion is allowed, except for in our weekly promo thread, or where otherwise explicitly stated.
It comes round once a week, every Thursday. We all get a chance to share what we’re working on. It’s cool. So wait for that to come round.
Be sure to check out each other’s work every Thursday and give each other some love and support.
Definition of self-promotion:
– selling anything
-promoting your show or event or record
-posting a link to your OWN website
-posting links to YouTube, Soundcloud etc
– posting your own content in the group and not in a specific (and relevant) thread. This includes posting photos with your social handles, URLs or band name on them AND posting “free” offers
You can do all that stuff in the specific thread every Thursday.
But that’s the only time 🙂
I may break my own rule and promote something if I feel as though it is of service to the group. I reserve that right because I run the group, so keeping an eye on myself is easy .
2. NO POSTING YOUR OWN VIDEOS
No creating videos, posting videos of yourself or streaming LIVE into the Group.
Even if you think that your post is within the spirit of the group, I’d have to watch each one and that’s not the best use of my time.
If you find a video from someone else and you think it’s awesome, great! Create a post and share it.
3. DON’T BE “THAT GUY”
Be polite.
Don’t be a troll.
No second chances on that one.
If you’re rude or nasty …I’ll have to ban you. I don’t want to, but I want a happy, supportive community even more.
4. BE HELPFUL
Provide genuine and helpful feedback and suggestions to others.
Ask questions.
Give answers.
Be the kind of supportive friend that you want and need yourself.
Remember: We are all here to help each other…so give more than you take, please.
5. DON’T PM ME ABOUT THE RUNNING OF THE GROUP
I don’t want to be giving time to policing and moderating the group. That would suck! I want to devote time to making music and to helping other musicians.
If you’re not ok to follow ALL of these rules, please remove yourself from the group. No hard feelings.
Other than that, let’s have some fun!

HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THIS GROUP
Show up with the intention to connect, serve and help. Make friends. All that good stuff. And like any community, show up. Pop in daily for a set amount of time.
Share your thoughts and experiences because they are valuable to others. Being a musician can be tough at times. You know that. The more insights and guidance, the better!
